Why I am Obsessed with Zinnias

This year, our test gardens are bursting with the most stunning zinnias, and I am absolutely wowed! Thanks to Floret Flower Farm, our gardens are a riot of color and beauty. I can’t help but want to spend hours just standing amidst these stunning blooms.

We grew their Precious Metals, Dawn Creek Pastels, Victorian Wedding collections, and a few of the Apenglow varieties. Each variety has brought its own unique charm, and I find myself bringing handfuls of these gorgeous flowers inside again and again.

Why am I obsessed with zinnias? They are the perfect cut-and-come-again flowers, ensuring a continuous supply of blooms all season long. They come in a million varieties, and I am especially loving these new ones from Floret Flower Farm. Zinnias thrive in the heat and bloom tirelessly until fall. Harvesting their seeds is a breeze, making it easy to grow them year after year. Plus, they last a long time in vases, bringing their vibrant colors indoors. Another reason to adore zinnias? They attract pollinators, making our garden a buzzing haven for bees and butterflies.

We are definitely expanding our zinnia plantings next year — maybe even a whole field of them.

I am completely in love with these blooms!
