As I grow older, I find myself drawn more to the peaceful rhythms of farm life. Do not be mistaken, I LOVE teaching marketing to college seniors, itโs a special kind of rewarding that holds a huge part of my heart but there’s also something special about being outside, tending to animals, and sifting the dirt through my hands. It’s pure joy and the best kind of therapy for me.
Today, I found a spark of joy that I hadn’t felt in a while. I visited Floret Flower Farms’ website and snagged some of their special collection zinnia seeds. Just doing this made my day brighter! I’ve always loved zinnias, but these are not your everyday flowers. They’re part of a “precious metals” collection that have been curated with great care by this farm, and I’m thrilled to plant them and eventually share their beauty with those around me.
This little act of buying seeds has reminded me of how much I enjoy learning from and growing with my garden. It’s about the simple pleasures, like waiting for the seeds to sprout and bloom.
What about you? What are you excited to plant this spring? Let’s look forward to the beauty and growth the new season will bring to our gardens.
