“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” – John 4:23-24
God is looking for people who will be themselves before Him. How cool is that? Just be yourself. No pretense, no masks, no pretending to be something you’re not. God created you with your unique personality, gifts, and quirks. When we come before Him, He wants us to come honestly, bringing all our joys, struggles, and questions.
On the farm, we’re reminded of this daily. Each plant, each animal, grows and thrives by being exactly what God created them to be. Our mini donkeys don’t try to be like the chickens, and our heirloom tomatoes, with all their unique colors and shapes, don’t try to look like each other. They glorify God by being true to their nature.
There is such a simple lesson here for us too!
Approach God with a genuine heart, worshiping Him in spirit and truth. Our relationship with God flourishes when we come to Him just as we are. This #FarmSunday, let’s embrace the beauty of being ourselves before our Creator. Now that’s BombDiggity.
