Dignity, Worth & Flourishing through Faith | Farm Sunday Devotional

Happy #farmsunday! As the sun rises through the haze at the farm and casts a golden hue on the fields, we’re renewed with the thought of the boundless potential each one of us has to flourish. 🌱

In a world where we were all born into sin, it’s easy to forget our inherent worth. Yet, the beauty of our Creator’s design is evident: “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” – Genesis 1:27. This verse beautifully conveys that every person has intrinsic dignity, value, and worth.

The journey to Calvary, the story of the cross, crucifixion, & resurrection wasn’t just a testament to Christ’s suffering. Instead, it was victory statement and beacon of hope. This story was a step toward restoring the image of God in our lives and a reminder of the dignity and worth we sometimes forget we have.

So, when we’re tempted to pass judgment and see ourselves or others through a lens of prejudice that leads us to cut them off or reject them, let’s remember and reflect on John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” That’s right. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, gave His life for each and every one of us. Such is our worth in His eyes. Wow!

This #FarmSunday, as we tend to our lives, farms, gardens, and animals, let’s also tend to our hearts. Let’s remember to treat every soul with the love, respect, and dignity they deserve, recognizing the divine image within them. We have the incredible ability to flourish through Him, and in doing so, uplift those around us.

Wishing you a blessed and flourishing Sunday!
