DIY Southern Evergreen Christmas Wreath

Craft a Southern Evergreen Christmas Wreath with Jules at SweetBombdiggity Farms

Hello Farm Friends! Let’s turn some lovely greenery into a beautiful Southern Evergreen Christmas Wreath.

What You’ll Need:

Wreath form

Floral pins

Greenery: magnolia leaves, hemlock with pinecones, pine, cedar, holly, etc.

Optional embellishments: a bow, dried oranges, or anything that tickles your fancy!

Let’s Get Crafting:

1️⃣ Start with Magnolia: Begin by pinning magnolia leaves around the outside of your wreath form. These Southern staples not only look gorgeous but also create a sturdy base for our wreath.

2️⃣ Add Hemlock Sprigs: Next, add sprigs of hemlock, showcasing their adorable pinecones. Secure each piece with a floral pin. Don’t worry about perfection; the natural look is part of the charm!

Create the Base: With just these two elements, you’ve already got a stunning base! But, of course, we’re not stopping there.

3️⃣ Fill In with Variety: Now, let your creativity shine! Add sprigs of pine, cedar, holly, or any other greenery you have. Play with different textures and shades – from deep greens to lively blues and lime greens.

4️⃣ Personalize with Embellishments: I added dried orange slices for a touch of warmth and color. You might prefer a traditional bow or other personal touches. Make it uniquely yours!

Remember, these wreaths are not just beautiful but also fun and relaxing to make. They’re cost-effective, too, as you can reuse the pins and form each year.

And the best part? You’ve made this yourself. There’s nothing like the pride of creating something with your own hands. Hang it up, step back, and admire your work. As you can see by the photo below, our goats were admiring my handiwork as well. I had to move fast to keep it from becoming an afternoon snack! 😂

Merry Christmas!
