Check out this BombDiggity little strawberry tower that didn’t break the bank! I headed over to The Dollar Tree and scored 8 stackable planters at just $1.25 each. Decided to go with the “faux terracotta” for that chic, earthy vibe but they come in several colors.
Here’s the fun part: I took a 5-foot piece of 1/2” conduit, gave it a good hammering into the ground for stability, and voilà – the backbone of our tower was ready!
Next up, a little DIY magic ✨: Drilled holes in the bottom of each planter, including a central one big enough to slide down the conduit pole. Stacked them up and filled them with my special soil mix (a little topsoil, some compost, and worm castings because we love our plants).
Planted my baby strawberry plants about 2-3 inches deep in each planter- covering the roots when leave the crown peeking through the soil. Then I gave them some water, and now we wait, hope, and pray for those juicy red strawberries to come in. 🙏🍓
Fresh strawberries right outside our farm office door? Now that’s BombDiggity! 😎🍓
