🪚📏✏️Turned some old wine barrels into planters and honestly, I’m loving the vibe they’re bringing to the front of our cabin! 🌿🪴A friend found these barrels heading for the dump, saved them, and now, here we are. It took me a minute to get brave enough to start cutting, but with a Sawz-all, measuring tape, and pencil, I finally did it.
I measured, marked, and cut right through the middle, starting at the plug. And just like that, we’ve got these cool new homes for plants. They are still a bit rough around the edges and need drainage holes but will soon be ready for dirt — I think they’re looking pretty awesome.
Pro tip: these barrel planters can be super pricey at stores, so maybe check around for some that haven’t been cut yet. You might get lucky at a local winery 🍷 or even a bourbon/whiskey 🥃 refinery (are you from Kentucky or Tennessee?)
