Dog Vomit Fungus (MOLD): Natures Weird Surprise in Your Garden

I’ve got a quirky find to share with you—dog vomit fungus! Yep, you read that right. This funky fungus might sound gross, but it’s actually pretty cool. Here are a few fun facts:

1️⃣ Not Dog Vomit: Despite its name, it has nothing to do with dogs. It gets its name from its appearance—bright yellow and slimy!

2️⃣ Harmless Helper: It’s totally harmless and often shows up in mulch or damp soil, helping to break down organic matter.

3️⃣ Shape Shifter: Dog vomit fungus is a slime mold, which means it can move (very slowly) and change shape as it searches for food.

4️⃣ Not Really a Fungus: We call it a fungus, but it’s actually a mold. It’s a slime mold to be exact, thriving in moisture and looking for its next meal.

So next time you see this weird, yellow blob in your garden, don’t worry! It’s just proof that nature has an amazing sense if humor! 🤮 🐶
