This verse holds two powerful truths:
1. God loves you deeply.
So deeply that He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, as a sacrifice for our sins. Jesus gave everything of Himself so that if we confess our sins and believe in Him with our whole heart, we will receive eternal life.
2. God has placed His hand on you for something special.
Wow—pause and think about that. The very hands that created the universe, that healed the sick, that broke bread to feed thousands, that welcomed and blessed children, and that were nailed to a cross—those same hands are placed on you.
The picture of “God’s hands on you” means His presence is with you—you are never alone. His power is upon you—you are never without hope. His blessings surround you—His protection, favor, and provision are yours.
This week, let’s pause and really think about how much Jesus Christ loves you. Because He loves us so much, it is an incredible gift to know His hands are upon us—to give us direction, to guide us when we’re unsure, to strengthen and bless us so we can serve others, to carry us through our hardships, and to give our lives new meaning and purpose.
