It’s Farm Sunday!
“Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Sometimes instructions that seem simple can feel so much harder in real life. This week, we were faced with unexpected challenges in our work and farm life—plans going sideways—things breaking — a disappointing outcome — but this passage reminds us to pause and refocus.
For those of us who belong to Christ, God’s will for us is clear:
Cheerfully Rejoice Always: God is our unchanging source of joy. Even when the circumstances are tough, believing in Him gives us a reason to be filled with hope and happiness.
Pray Without Ceasing: Prayer isn’t just for Sunday mornings. It’s a conversation we carry with us all day—while feeding animals, fixing fences, or even pulling weeds. Inviting Jesus into every part of your daily routine builds a relationship, not a ritual.
Give Thanks in All Circumstances: Gratitude shifts our hearts, even in the hard moments. It’s not easy to thank God when things go wrong, but it’s a reminder that His blessings are always present, even in ways we can’t yet see.
