Happy #FarmSunday, everyone! This week, “spiritual mentoring” is our devotional topic. To illustrate, let’s dive into a piece of wisdom from 1 Timothy 6:11-12, a beautiful reminder from Paul to Timothy. Their relationship was a true example of mentoring. Paul, seeing Timothy as a spiritual son, shares timeless advice that’s as true today as it has ever been.
1️⃣ Pursue righteousness—a Life rightly aligned with God – Imagine your life as a path parallel to God’s. How closely do your steps match His? Are we walking a life that mirrors the goodness and love of God. Embrace Wonder, Faith, Love, Steadiness, and Kindness.
2️⃣ Run hard & fast in the faith. Life’s a marathon, not a sprint. Charge ahead with the wonder of faith, the steadiness of trust, and the kindness that speaks volumes of who we are. Be all in, every moment of the day, every step of the way.
3️⃣ Seize Eternal Life – It’s there, just within our reach. To seize eternal life means to live fully in the presence of God, to grasp firmly what we’re promised, and to embody the love and grace we’ve been shown.
As we reflect on these three pieces of advice, let’s ask ourselves: How aligned are we with the life God calls us to? Are we running hard and fast in faith, with wonder and kindness as our companions? And are we holding tightly to the eternal life promised to us?
