#FarmSunday Devotional: Which Path Are You on? š Have you ever been on a road trip and realized you missed a turn? Maybe the scenery started to look unfamiliar, or your GPS warned, āRecalculating.ā Life can feel like that sometimesālike youāre traveling down a path but unsure if itās the right one. šŗļø The truth is, every day, we make choices that set us on a path, and those choices shape where weāre headed.
š Psalm 1 talks about two very different paths, and the direction we choose can make all the difference to our final destination in life.
1ļøā£ Path 1 is the slippery slope of bad influences. It starts by walking alongside and listening to negative voices. The path then leads to standing and associating with those encouraging harmful behavior. The path eventually ends with sitting with and imitating their destructive attitudes. Psalm 1:6 reminds us this path leads to self-destruction, separation from God, and an emptiness that will never be filled.
2ļøā£ Path 2 is rooted in delighting in Godās Word, meditating on it day and night, and treating it as our lifeās nourishment. Psalm 1:3 describes this path as one that makes us strong, fruitful, and evergreen, like a tree planted by rivers of water, always thriving and prospering. š³
The best news? Psalm 1:6 also promises that God knows and charts this path for us and it leads to eternal life. šŗļø The choice is yoursāso where are you headed? Are you letting Godās Word direct your steps, or are you listening to voices that lead you astray? ā¤ļø
