Which Path Are You on? | Farm Sunday Devotional

Farm Sunday Graphic with bible in background and the title of devotional Which Path are you on from Psalm 1

#FarmSunday Devotional: Which Path Are You on? 🚘 Have you ever been on a road trip and realized you missed a turn? Maybe the scenery started to look unfamiliar, or your GPS warned, ā€œRecalculating.ā€ Life can feel like that sometimes—like you’re traveling down a path but unsure if it’s the right one. šŸ—ŗļø The truth is, every day, we make choices that set us on a path, and those choices shape where we’re headed.

šŸ“– Psalm 1 talks about two very different paths, and the direction we choose can make all the difference to our final destination in life.

1ļøāƒ£ Path 1 is the slippery slope of bad influences. It starts by walking alongside and listening to negative voices. The path then leads to standing and associating with those encouraging harmful behavior. The path eventually ends with sitting with and imitating their destructive attitudes. Psalm 1:6 reminds us this path leads to self-destruction, separation from God, and an emptiness that will never be filled.

2ļøāƒ£ Path 2 is rooted in delighting in God’s Word, meditating on it day and night, and treating it as our life’s nourishment. Psalm 1:3 describes this path as one that makes us strong, fruitful, and evergreen, like a tree planted by rivers of water, always thriving and prospering. 🌳

The best news? Psalm 1:6 also promises that God knows and charts this path for us and it leads to eternal life. šŸ—ŗļø The choice is yours—so where are you headed? Are you letting God’s Word direct your steps, or are you listening to voices that lead you astray? ā¤ļø
