Hey farm friends! 🐔✨ We’re diving headfirst into our #farmingafter50 adventure again and this time, oh boy, is it fluffy! We’ve are raising about 30 Silkie chicks in our brooders and the farm is a peeping paradise. We cannot thank our friends at Tractor Supply enough for these sweet babes. These little fluff balls are more than just cute; they’ve become a real highlight of our days, and we’re super pumped to share their journey with you.
If you haven’t met a Silkie chicken yet, you’re in for a treat. These guys are like the stuffed animals of the chicken world, with soft, fluffy feathers that feel like silk. They’re super friendly, kind of like the dogs of the chicken universe, and even as chicks seem always ready for a cuddle or even to follow me around. Fun facts…they even have an extra toe!
Our brooder is buzzing with the sounds and sights of these adorable babes, and each one is already showing off their own quirky personality. It’s been a blast getting to know them and seeing the world from their pint-sized perspective.
