Craving a Restful Break from the Farm
Life on the farm has been exhilarating, but it’s also been non-stop work. As we took a moment to gaze at the horizon, we realized that we both craved a break to recharge our bodies and minds. Inspired by Exodus 33:14, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest,” we decided to embrace this time away and fully enjoy the beauty of the beach.
Embracing the Restorative Healing Power of the Sea
As we strolled along the shore, the sound of the ocean waves seemed to wash away the worries and stresses of farm life. We recalled Psalm 23:2-3a, “He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul,” and felt the embrace of nature’s healing power. The gentle sea breeze whispered a message of calm and serenity to our hearts.
Reconnecting Heart to Heart
Amidst sunsets and starlit nights, we find ourselves reconnecting as a couple. Holding hands, we strolling along the beach, sharing dreams, and remembering the wonderful journey we’ve had together. We embrace the wisdom of Ecclesiastes 4:9-10a, “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up,” and realized that this time away was not only restorative individually, but also for our relationship.
As our #FarmSunday beach retreat continues, we feel incredibly grateful for this time of rest, restoration, and reconnection. Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest,” feels like a personal invitation, guiding us through this rejuvenating journey.
