2024 at Sweet Bombdiggity Farms: A Year to Remember

From new adventures to the comforts of home, the joy of new additions, and the longing for those we’ve lost… from gardening, to cooking to everything in between — this year has been one for the books. Here’s a quick look back at some highlights:

January: We taught an honors leadership course in London and brought home this fun find—a gorgeous 1940s green bread box from Old Spitalfields Market.

February: Set up a new raised bed garden area and were gifted the sweetest batch of Silkie chicks.

March: Lettuce thrived, and we planted potatoes in clothes baskets—proving creativity in gardening knows no bounds.

April: Rainy days led to strawberry towers, while Lane broke his ankle (poor fella!)

May: Ranunculus blooms brightened our days, radishes were harvested, and gardens flourished. Maybelline (now Mayfield) the Mallard duck joined the farm and stole our hearts.

June: As the farm thrived, Lane’s Dad, Poppa Max, went to heaven and we struggled with how to say goodbye.

July: Welcomed Max and Biscuit, two mini Nubian goats, and Dolly, our black-and-tan hound mama, who found her forever home here.

August: After two years of anticipation, we finally moved into 1930s Knoxville Nest! We love having a little city landing pad!

September: Fall graced us with its beauty, and we poured our creativity into stunning floral arrangements.

October: Set up our Omlet Coop at the Knoxville Nest, moved chickens to the city, and rescued sweet Clementine, a bobtail kitten. Sadly, our foreman kitty Pete disappeared, and we miss him dearly.

November: Expanded our chicken run to three times its size—more room for our feathery friends!

December: Road-tripped to Mississippi with my baby girl to welcome five new KuneKune piggies (Bocephus, Bubbles, Buttercup, Blossom, and Buttons). Plus, three surprise Silkie chicks—Nogg, Noel, and Navi—hatched just in time for the holidays.

Thank you for joining us here. You make this journey even more special. We look forward to making new memories with you in 2025!
