Yesterday morning, my little Toyota truck, affectionally named Lola by our grandbabies, cranked just like she always does. We drove up to the farm, fed the horses, goats, donkeys, pigs, ducks, cats and dogs. But when we got back in the truck to head home for breakfast, the engine wouldn’t start. Just click, click, click. The battery that worked perfectly minutes before had suddenly died.

Life is like that sometimes. Everything runs smoothly until, in a moment, it doesn’t.
In 1 Corinthians 1:9 (The Message), Paul gives us three words to hold onto & not forget:
“God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure, shares with us the life of his Son and our Master Jesus. He will never give up on you. Never forget that.”
So what does the faithfulness of God mean?
God is dependable and reliable.
God is unchanging—always true to His word and promises.
God is consistent and steady.
And God never gives up on us. His love meets us with forgiveness the moment we ask.
So when this week brings an unexpected twist or turn, don’t forget this steady truth: God is faithful.
