#FarmSunday Christmas Eve Devotional

On this #farmsunday Christmas Eve, we are reflecting on the profound message in Luke 2:8-14 (NKJV), a passage filled with the joy and hope of this sacred season.

The Announcement: The Greatest News Ever—A Savior is Born

This holy night brings us back to the divine announcement that forever altered the course of history:

“Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” (Luke 2:8-11)

Here the “good tidings of great joy”….this Jesus…the long-anticipated Messiah, who was prophesied and now fulfilled, brings with Him hope and salvation. Jesus Christ has arrived! Let us immerse ourselves in Jesus Christ and the joy and wonder that the first Christmas brought to the world.

The Celebration: Glory to God in the Highest.

As the scripture narrates, the highest of heavens erupted with joy: “suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” (Luke 2:13-14) This heavenly celebration mirrors our own as we join in the chorus of praise, embodying the peace and goodwill the angels proclaimed, and spreading it within our hearts and communities.

On this special #FarmSunday Christmas Eve, let the timeless message of Luke’s gospel fill you with warmth and light — celebrating the birth of our Savior and the peace He brings to the world. Merry Christmas to all, and may your hearts and homes be filled with the love and joy of this blessed season.
