Gardening Gift Ideas

There are so many fun gardening gift ideas and clearly, this is one of my favorite passions!  I have curated some of my favorite finds that I have enjoyed this year and are listed below with links.  For example, I love my Roo Apron for gathering veggies in the garden and my Soil Blocker saves the need for buying planting containers.  The perfect garden shoes are a must and I love my Sloggers garden clogs and boots. The flame King Propane Torch quickly burns away weeds or opens up holes for planting in landscape fabric– so useful!  I even included a Vego raised bed that I have my eye on (who knows?!?).

If you are still looking for more inspiration order your garden lover bulbs and corms from a small flower farm like The Farmhouse Flower Farm. I am so excited to plant the Ranuculus that I recently received from them!

Another one of my favorites this year is the The Whole Seed Catalog from Baker Creek Seed Company.  They focus on heirloom and rare seeds and the varieties are amazing.  This $14 book is full of beautiful photographs, seed inspiration, and even recipes.  It has been such a joy to peruse.

Self Care

I believe in Self-care and have a few products that I am passionate about and think worth sharing.  I adore my Trestique make-up.  The routine is quick, easy, and natural.  It works so well with my #FarmingAfter50 skin and never looks caked on.  The packaging is also a plus as it is zero-waste and I can easily order refills for my products and drop them in.  I love so much about this product and company.

I also really love my skincare routine.  It is so stinking easy, but one of the primary tools for me is a plant-based Squalane Dry Oil. This honestly has improved my skin’s elasticity and radiance so much.  It is not greasy, and it actually regulates the oil production and works on all skin types, including acne-prone skin. Your skin naturally makes this anyway and you are just replenishing it. I adore it, the bottle lasts forever, and it is really reasonably priced too.

My last pick for this season is essential oils.  I find them calming, invigorating, and just cool to have around.  I use them for all sorts of things from a drop of two in the bathwater, to a room humidifier or diffuser, and even to my homemade candles. I use so many different ones and order larger quantities of therapeutic quality ones such as: Eucalyptus, Brazillian Orange, Tea Tree, Spearmint, Lavender, and Citronella (I love it for summer and bugs!) But, I also have this reasonably priced set that includes a ton of different choices that I enjoy mixing and matching to my mood. They are a fun gift for someone and a great thing to have on hand for yourself too!i

Farm Fashion

It’s no secret I adore Farm Fashion.  I believe that fashion is about wearing things that make you feel comfortable in your own skin and for me that is a new found love of overalls! Farm Fashion isn’t just for the farm, it is just style that is extremely comfortable as well as functional and guess what?  I think that can also be cute (I mean, there are always accessories!). Here are a few of my favorite finds.

I would be remiss if I didn’t give a shoutout to Liberty Overalls—Lawwwww I love their bibs! They are my go-to favorites these days and I am always on the lookout for the perfect overall– Liberty is now headquartered right here in Tennessee and I love that too!  There are several options listed below or you can shop directly from their website.

I am also a huge fan of anything Smartwool. I love the way the comfy wool of their products breathe.  I also wear Duluth Overalls and they have some fun patterns but be warned they are quickly sold out of those once they are released!

Lane wear’s about anything Orvis and they have a great Cyber Sales right now if you use this link —>
Orvis 25% off entire site for 1 day only

For shoes, my go-to’s are Merrell, and Ariat Boots.  I also love how the Gore Tex of my Solomon trail shoes keeps my feet dry and comfy. And you can never go wrong with a pair of Muck boots.  Mine have bows and that is just a little bit extra!

For accessories, I love small makers.  My longtime friend Ettamarie’s Jewelry on Instagram. She has so much talent and I adore her work. Ettamarie lives in Asheville and passion for nature come through in her original pieces. I’ll be sharing some soon!

Kitchen & Food Preservation

The kitchen is the heart of the home and I love everything that makes it easier or more fun.  Yes, I make sour dough bread, but yes, I also use my Zorjirushi Bread Machine all the time. I adore both methods and the products are both delicious.  I cannot say enough about the game-changer our GE Opal Ice Machine or Berkey Gravity Water Filtration System has been for us.  I drink so much more water now!  I’m even adding a Blackstone Griddle onto this list because, dog-on-it, I really want it myself!

A few additional finds from small businesses on ETSY are: A customized cookie press  it is adorable and works so well! and a set of organic cotton bowl covers that are so beautiful and useful.

Farm Animal Themed Fun & Useful Finds

And what farm-focused holiday gift guide would be complete without some animal fun and treats? Our animals are spoiled rotten and I own so many of the items on this list.  I also love farm-themed clothing and especially shoes for some reason! Whatever breed of animal enthusiast you know or are, I’m hoping you can find some inspiration below.

For the chicken lover, a great gift would be the real deal– how about some adorable chicks from Meyers Hatchery?!? If you don’t want to pick them out yourself, make them a chicken or animal-themed gift card to present and help make their chicken dreams come true! (Hint Hint Farmer Morris, I’d love some silkies and some true blue-egg laying hens!)

How about some custom pet socks featuring your most beloved pets and farm animals or mini watercolor pet portraits or other portrait options from Etsy makers.  So. many options. Just reach out if you need more!

We truly hope that you found some inspiration for your holiday season. Our ideas are endless so reach out if you need some more help!
