BombDiggity Slow Burn Pepper Spicy Blend

Dehydrated garden peppers ground into a seasoning blend with a warm, steady heat. Make a small batch for your own kitchen or a gift-size batch for everyone else.

  • Author: Jules Morris
  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Resting Time: overnight
  • Total Time: 10 minutes plus overnight rest
  • Yield: about 1/2 cup (small batch)
  • Category: Seasoning
  • Method: No Cook
  • Cuisine: American

Ingredients

Small batch (about 1/2 cup)

  • 1/2 cup hot pepper powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste

Large batch (gift size)

  • 4 cups hot pepper powder
  • 3 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ground cumin (optional)
  • 2 to 2 1/2 tablespoons salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Mix well and let it rest overnight before jarring.
  3. Spoon into clean jars, label, and store in a cool, dark cabinet.

Notes

Start light on the pepper powder if you are not sure how hot your peppers turned out. You can always add more heat, but you cannot take it back out.

And do not inhale freshly ground pepper powder. Your sinuses will remember it.

Sprinkle it on eggs, roasted vegetables, grilled meat, soups, anywhere you want a warm, steady heat.

Now that’s BombDiggity.

If you still have peppers after this, hot pepper sauce and cowboy candy will take care of the rest.
