The Recharge Map: Designing Rhythms That Restore You

Recharge! We talk a lot about designing a life we love—but what about designing the pauses that keep us grounded? Rest doesn’t always happen by accident. It’s something we can build in, with intention, just like any other part of life.

That’s where the Recharge Map comes in. It’s a simple tool that helps you uncover the activities that truly restore you—and it provides a framework for making them part of your daily rhythm.

How It Works

Draw a circle and divide it into three wedges: Body, Mind, Spirit. In each wedge, jot down the activities that recharge you in that area.

For example:

  • Body = long walks, stretching, and earlier bedtimes.
  • Mind = journaling, painting, reading.
  • Spirit = prayer, coffee with a friend, quiet porch time.

Take a look at your map and notice: Which wedge feels full? Which wedge feels empty? Circle the one activity you most need right now—and schedule it this week.

Why It Works

When life becomes overwhelming, we often default to survival. The Recharge Map helps us see what’s missing, and just as important, what’s working. Sometimes the reset we need is smaller than we think.
